Ultimate came to Moncton around 1997 when a group of friends in the Moncton area gathered together, and entered in (and helped start) the 1st ever Parlee Beach Ultimate Tournament. That same small group of 10 players soon became the nucleus of what is now known as the Moncton Ultimate Club - aka MUC. From “The Blue Lobsters“, “Deja VooDoo”, the mighty “MUDSlides“, and the (soon to be) infamous MUTT / SMUTT combo!!! Moncton continues to be well represented in Ultimate frisbee tournaments across the Maritimes. Since it's humble beginnings, MUC has grown and the sport of Ultimate is finding it's place in Moncton! Through A LOT of hardwork and determination, the diminutive MUC has grown into MURL! The Moncton Ultimate Recreational League!
